Flared Knits: We’re Going Out In Sweats.

It’s no secret. Women’s wear has gone athletic. It started with the wedged running shoe and sweatpant trousers. But now we’ve really swapped our stilettos for trainers (our feet say THANK YOU), slip-ons (we still regret getting rid of our checkered Vans from 2002) and slides (YES we can wear those lovely Adidas ones that massaged the bottoms of your feet without looking like we’re going to the camp/pool showers). And it’s not just footwear. Sweatshirts, boxy tees and sweatpants are all on point. Now, we look a good sweatpant. But we also like when our legs look great. In comes the FLARED KNIT PANT! Zara has been absolutely killing the flared knit (we might have acquired a pair. Or 2…).

We promise: THEY ARE WOOL. THEY ARE COMFY. But LOOK AT THAT LEG! Massive flare at the bottom, elongated leg and all around comfort. Win.

And again. These ones are ribbed and the flare isn’t as big. But it does have a small slit on the base of each leg, again giving the ultimate flattering leg.

Have you seen any awesome joggers (flared or tapered)? We’ve going to slip into them…now.

Avo on Toast (Cures All Ails)

Bvffmy7CEAI8dhh

If we had to guess, avocados might be the most sought after item in the shop right now. They are (and always have been, for the record) absolutely divine. Creamy, filling, green (unless they’re brown, vom) and packed with ‘good for you fat’. And with the influx of avo-love, all us people are flocking to our local breakfast/brunch/lunch haunts for some avo on toast. We are constantly in awe of by 2 things: the AMOUNT of avocado you get and the fact that they are ALWAYS PERFECTLY RIPE! How do they do it? Every time we go to the shops for avocado they are either hard as rocks or ripe when you leave the store and already overripe when you go reach for it.

Now, London has some BOOM avo on toasts available. Here are our favourites:

  1. Tuck Shop (@Tuckshop_LDN), 471-473 The Arches, Dereham Pl, Shoreditch, EC2A 3HJ.

Your toast comes with mountains of perfect mashed (but still chunky) avocado. Every. Single. Time.

  1. Riding House Café (@RidingHouseCafe), 43-51 Great Titchfield St, Fitzrovia, W1W 7PQ.

Toasted perfectly with a spicy guac-style mash on top. Gluten free toast available!

  1. Kopapa (@KopapaCafe), 32-34 Monmouth Street, Covent Garden, WC2H 9HA

You can get your fix with a chili kick and a little cheesy satisfaction.

  1. M1lk (@m1lkcoffee), 20 Bedford Hill, Balham, SW12 9RG

Now, it’s a bit of a DIY. Get the bread (Gluten Free option!) and get the smashed avocado. VOILA!

Oops. That just made our tummies gurgle. And we think you know what we want…

Season’s end.

I don’t know when it happened, but it happened. It became Fall-ish outside. Buh bye bare legs! Welcome back to tights (SO SOON?!). The one thing we love about this time of year is, like many others out there, that I can LAYER. We do love a good layer look, and we really love a good jacket. And at the moment, were particularly loving some silky sportswear jackets. Not to worry though, we haven’t forgotten our leather love. Fall time is always leather love season.

So we want to know, what’s your most coveted Fall-ish piece?
